Our Bridges - Mind Center for Special Needs

All students, all individuals, all ages, all levels!

No matter the age, level, or background, MCSN will deliver personalized, evidence-based instruction and behavioral support to all our students. We help children integrate into mainstream schools; we help adolescents catch up to their peers, and we create a bridge for all ages, including adults, to reach independence.

Depending on each individual, we customize a “bridge” to help students determine where they are and help them achieve their goals.

Each student that is enrolled onto the programme, will follow a pathway of support and receive a certificate of achievement once they have completed their pathway.

MCSN believes that quality of life is important in improving a person’s life standards including their ability to choose which in turn improves their mental health. The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines quality of life as; an individual’s perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns. The support that MCSN provides, is influenced by the QOL model devised by Schalock et al (2008), which is based on three key areas:

  1. Independence: Self determination and personal competence
  2. Social participation: interpersonal relationships, social inclusion and rights
  3. Personal well-being: emotional, physical and material well being
